I think I have finally sorted my “Octopus Intelligent Go drains home battery” issue using Home Assistant. We’ll know tonight. Two additional writes per Octopus Charging cycle. Wonder how long until the Inverter ROM get fubared! #Solax #Solar #EV #HomeAssistant #HomeAutomation

Lol! Today morning I unplugged the wifi dongle that comes with the inverter and plugged it back in, and then #HACS plugin started working again. Just like that! #HomeAssistant #SolaX

Does anyone who follows me know if #HomeAssistant / #HACS use virtual environment for Python dependencies? Looked like a dependency may have booked the #Solax plugin.

Well my #Solax #HACS integration on #HomeAssistant is gutted! Dunno what happened but I just upgraded the plugin and it self destructed! No amount of downgrading will fix it. Time to write something up. Does anyone know of a modbus library in #Python #Lazyweb #SmartHome #Solar

@tk hey cool! My guzzler EV battery is 6x my battery capacity! I’ve to figure out which #SolaX setting to toggle. Apparently the inverter has only eeprom memory with limited writes. Will figure out a solution via HA.

I finally connected my #HomeAssistant and #photovoltaic inverter directly via wifi modbus. Now I can read much more values (191) every second (not every 5 minutes) and control the inverter without relying on the #Solax cloud.
Had I known how easy it was, I would have done it much sooner.
