One really positive thing that I can say about Shadow Generations is that there is no long loading screen when you die. Only a brief fade so I assume it only resets states and doesn't reload everything again.
Can this finally become standard in modern games please?
Especially when it's level based and/or has hard difficulties where you can die in seconds.

Finished Shadow Generations. It's... okay.
The flow is meh and I disliked every transformation except the last but all of them feel sluggish to control.
The worst part are the graphics. The lighting is so flat and bland, it looks like you're playing it inside a 3d editor. All the characters have an awful matte glow. And the stages' geometry is basic.
PC performance is also poor. It only reaches ~90 fps while my GPU and CPU are snoozing at 1/3 utilization.

The unfinished #cut scenes from #ShadowGenerations #DarkBrotherhood on the PS5 are actually pretty damn awesome. I like the small scene where Shadow is carrying Maria and looking out the window watching Emerl fuck up the Ark around them. #Sonic is so fucking cool again.

CW: Shadow Generations plot spoilers about mental health
As someone with legitimate #Anger issues my entire life, the entire driving plot of #ShadowGenerations being about him working past his #anger issues and #depression and dealing with #mentalhealth issues, and the triumphant climax being him telling #Maria that he's "finally letting go of all his destructive anger" before smiling hits incredibly fucking hard, especially #ShadowtheHedgehog's little tear after. Legitimately cheered me up.

#ShadowGenerations is incredibly #shonen. It straight up becomes #Dragonball and I love it. The doom spears move is exactly like #ki in Dragon ball, and the doom kick move is like when they knock someone around and teleport around the arena. It's integrated into the game and level design so well but it definitely feels like you're straight up #Vegeta at times. Awesome game.
