    It consists of 4 rounds each an hour long entailing a #ruck and/or a #workout.

    Round 1:

    - Fill up sandbags and kettlebells ranging from 10# to 200#.
    - Ruck to pizzeria while recording how many steps it took to get there.
    - Ruck further to a playground and back to start.

    Round 2:

    - 450m ruck + #sandbag/#kettlebell lunges
    - 180m farmer's carry
    - 400m sandbag/kettlebell toss

    Full Body #Sandbag #Workout (approx 28.5kg)

    1A. Sandbag Front Squat
    1B. Sandbag Slam
    2A. Sandbag Romanian Deadlift
    2B. Sandbag Zercher Carry
    3A. Sandbag Overhead Press
    3B. Sandbag Bent Over Row

    Repeated A and B for two supersets. Didn't count my reps properly, but it was definitely lower range (6-8). First proper sandbag workout I ever did.

    Thanks @ubo for getting my interest up in sandbag training again and finally making me buy one. Worth it! And since I can fill it with up to 50kg, this will last me a long time...

    Considering the movement with #GORUCK’s #SimpleSandbag one only gets two vertical handles compared to #sandbag and its filler which has a whole arrangement of vertical, horizontal, and side handles. This can make the carrying of such bags more tedious depending on its fullness amount.

    To ease the task of carrying one can acquire and use #RuckStraps. This has the benefit of freeing up one hand and giving a larger area to hold onto. Plus it can also mark the sandbags when participating in a competition.

  6. My door sandbag job gets a B grade. Leaking sand because I didn't fold the bag well. Also minor amounts of rain did make it into the door because the same bag was not pushed up far enough on to the door on left. #sandbag

    One downside of overpacking a #goruck #sandbag is that one cannot complete a clean as expected. Since the fingers won’t be able to rotate over without being caught in the mid seem.

    One option to overcome this hindrance is to use less fingers, so either 3 or 2 instead of the standard 4.

    One fundamental workout equipment when doing #RuckPT / #SandbagPT is the #sandbag. (Most #exercise,s that can be done with a #ruck are interchangeable with a sandbag.)

    To fill up a sandbag the obvious material is sand. This can be found at your local sand beach, riverbed, or playground. All public sand should only be borrowed for the duration of the #workout and returned once done at ideally the same location where initially taken from.

    A lighter alternative is cat litter, since this material is built to be liquid absorbent it is best to pack the grains in at least one sturdy plastic bag before placing it into the filler (a shell to hold the material before placing into the workout sandbag) and/or sandbag.

  18. Brian Alsruhe posted a great video on how to choose the weight for a sandbag. I bought his Every Day Carry sandbag program and plan to implement it sometime this year…after I work up to the suggested weights. I bought a 140lb sandbag which would be the lower weight for me based on his program and I barely lifted it once, and it took all I had. Sandbags are tough like nothing else. #fitness #sandbag #lifting youtu.be/r9CGU_PVHaI
