#SkyWatch #Astrophotography I have posted photos of the #CrescentNebula before but not ones created with my 250mm lens. This wider field of view shows the Crescent (lower right corner) amidst the hydrogen gas clouds of the #Sadr region in the center of the #Cygnus constellation. The Crescent is a shell caused by colliding gasses after a star explosion and is 5000 light years from Earth. #StillLearning

#SkyWatch #Astrophotography #Sadr is the bright star in this image. Also known as #GammaCygni it is the central star of the cross that makes up the #Cygnus constellation and is about 1800 light years from Earth. It is not the source of the large emission nebula #IC1318 that appears to surround it. #IC1318 is about 5000 light years from Earth and is sometimes called the #ButterflyNebula #StillLearning

#SkyWatch #Astrophotography The #GammaCygniNebula is 4000 light years away in the #Sadr region of the Milky Way. This image represents an instance in which a bigger telescope is not always better for astrophotography. With my 715mm I could only capture half of the nebula. The other half is on the other side of the dark nebula in the lower right. With the other half, the nebula looks like a butterfly. I think this half looks like a flying squirrel. #StillLearningDay

The world's states are split in four in terms of who supports the Moroccan territorial claim, who supports the SADR as a state, who supports the self-determination of the Sahrawi people but not the state and who doesn't have a clearly stated opinion.
Even organizations like the Arab League and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, which officially somewhat support Morocco, and the AU, which recognizes the SADR and accepts it as a member, have member states with the opposing view to that of the organization. Notably the UN recognizes the SADR while prominent members like the US and France support the Moroccan claim.
