  1. Not, alas, a supernova. NGC 6712, 67 million light years away. The bright dot below the core is a 15th magnitude foreground star. #astrophotography #seestar #ngc6712

  2. The Cat's Eye or Crocodile Eye Galaxy M94, 16 million light years away. Note the faint ring of the extended spiral arms. #astrophotography #seestar #m94

  3. The final globular cluster in the NGC catalog to elude my visual observation. NGC 6380 lies over 35,000 light years away on the far side of the galactic bulge and was not identified as a globular cluster until the 1950s. Note the dark nebulae around it. #astrophotography #seestar #ngc6380

  4. Nice little dust lane in this one: the Mini Sombrero Galaxy NGC 5746, 99 million light years away. To its lower right is NGC 5740. The glare on the left is from 4th magnitude star 109 Virginis, 134 light years away. To the lower right of 5740 is NGC 5738. #astrophotography #seestar #ngc5746

  5. Thor's Helmet or Duck Nebula: emission nebula NGC 2359, about 12000 light years away. #astrophotography #seestar #ngc2359

  6. Beyond Pluto Left: Trans-Neptunian Object (136108) Haumea, 49 AU away. Right: TNO (136472) Makemake, 52 AU away. #astrophotography #seestar #haumea #makemake

  7. Below: The Whirlpool Galaxy M51 Above it: edge on spiral galaxy NGC 5229. Can you see its slight warp? About 23.5 million light years away. #astrophotography #seestar #m51 #ngc5229

  8. Had another clear, cool night. I was able to get the Orion Nebula (M-42) and the moon with my #Seestar S30 Pro. The nebula is from a 5 minute/10 second stack of images and the moon is a single shot. The moon was very bright and blotted out all but the brightest stars.

  9. M42, the Orion Nebula. Captured on a SeeStar s50 in Mosaic Mode. LP filter on, 17 minutes, alt/az mode. #SeeStar #SeeStarS50 #M42 #OrionNebula #Astronomy

  10. Markarian's Chain of Galaxies NGC 4474 NGC 4468 NGC 4459 NGC 4479, NGC 4477 NGC 4473 NGC 4461, NGC 4458 NGC 4438, NGC 4435 (Arp 120) NGC 4425, M 86, NGC 4402 NGC 4413, NGC 4388, NGC 4387, M 84 #astrophotography #seestar #markarian (Arp 120 is also known as Markarian's Eyes)

  11. NGC 2264 is a busy one: At the bottom, the Cone Nebula. Above it, the inverted Christmas Tree star cluster. The area of white gas just below center is called the Fox Fur Nebula. #astrophotography #seestar #ngc2264
