Heute möchten wir auf einige aktive Karrieren zurückblicken, die in diesem Jahr vollständig oder zumindest im deutschen Nationalteam zu Ende gegangen sind. Gleich mehrere dieser Spielerinnen feierten im Jahr 2016 bei den Olympischen Spielen mit der Goldmedaille einen unvergleichlichen Erfolg.

Ah... found a video that shows both @[email protected] and his sister Alli prior to and during the #Rio2016 Olympic torch relay discussing their thoughts on participating in it. I won't link to it, since it was put up by a large corporation, but will include screenshots to illustrate.

And, here, twenty years later, is the full #Olympic flame lighting ceremony from the ruins of The Temple Of Hera in Olympia, Greece to kick off the torch relay for #Rio2016, of which @[email protected] was one of the bearers:
