Sad news. Marc van der Poel, immediate Past-President of the International Society for the History of #rhetoric (@ISHRhetoric) passed away December 18, 2022. He was a man of great scholarship and admirable kindness. He belongs to those scholars whose counsel was crucial for my career. My thoughts are with his family now.

I am a #historian of #GraecoRomanCulture at Mainz university, Germany. My research
