as my time in #academia marches towards its end, I am feeling a little bit... I dont know. Depressed some days, liberated on others.
I was never the best at being an "#academic" - murderously great teacher, fantastic at a lot of stuff like engaging students, diversity work, and contributing to society, but not great at the academia game - the papers, the grants all that. Apologies for this - my private life ate the 30% extra I needed for the brutal war of attrition that is the #tenuretrack
