The Super7 Visionaries tease is nudging me to go back and revisit my upscale project. All those uploads were taken down when my YouTube account was nuked in The Micronauts (2019) Incident, and I still have them backed up, but I want to give them another pass now that I have a newer laptop (M4 instead of an M1) and a Mac-specific RealESRGAN tool.
Of course, an official remaster would be better than an upscale, but I'm not sure even Hasbro knows where the masters for that or Inhumanoids are.

It’s so wild watching toy cartoons that are trying to sell things that were never actually released. Like a big chunk of Inhumanoids with Tank and Sabre Jet and Gagoyle. Or the entirety of this modern Micronauts cartoon. Just a weird liminal thing, something just slightly out of sync with reality.

I don't know who decided to make a Beetlejuice cartoon that was Lydia and her wacky, not-a-creepy-sex-pest ghost buddy having fun ghost-world adventures but honestly they weren't wrong.

"Dark Awakening" feels like something from a creepypasta about someone who found a streaming channel showing the original Transformers in the middle of the night and after a few normal episodes there's this horrifying one about Optimus Prime coming back as a zombie and trying to kill everyone.

Finally dug out my Challenge of the GoBots miniseries DVD and yeah, the version MeTV Toons is working with is *at least* 1080p, maybe better. It looks significantly sharper than the DVD. Might need to see if there's a way to save them off Frndly's DVR thing.

I've started uploading my 1080p-upscaled version of Inhumanoids: The Evil That Lies Within to YouTube! It doesn't look as good as the Visionaries upscales but that's because nothing will ever look as good as Visionaries. But it's a lot more watchable than my previous raw PAL DVD uploads!
