I can't lie, stumbling on this made me smile.

I'm reading County Road Z, a #solo tabletop RPG / #wargame about – not surprisingly – surviving in the zombie post apocalypse, and I'm up to the section on bases because establishing, expanding, and maintaining a base of operations is a big deal in this game.

Did I ever expect to run into a Renaissance Festival as a zombie apocalypse hidey-hole? Absolutely not. Do I love it? You better believe it.

Now I'm imagining the survivors of the zombie apocalypse who are all members of a Renaissance Festival crew shacking up in the last place they had a show, with all the potential drama of that many drama llamas in one place plus the outside pressure of a mounting zombie horde.

There's probably two or three good game ideas in that.
