#Klimaforschende haben das bisherige Worst-Case-Szenario #RCP85 aus neuen #Klimamodellen gestrichen.
Grund ist, dass der massive Ausbau von #Solarenergie, #Windenergie und #Elektromobilität das #Emissionswachstum gebremst hat.
Statt rund 4,5 Grad Erwärmung bis 2100 gilt nun ein Szenario mit etwa 3,5 Grad als extremster Pfad.
Dennoch steuert die Welt aktuell auf etwa 2,6 Grad zu.

I think, this is how cli-sci can still envision any "global community" at all in 2100, after heaving laid out the plot for the 2030s, which quickly and inevitably and irreparably leads to global collapse of the complex supply chains and our tech civilisation. -
