  1. #Plague is carried by a bacteria, did you know?
And it can survive in the soil!

With modern antibiotics and infectious disease knowledge not a big problem. But imagine the #RCPCollapse scenario in which this knowledge, tech and medicine vanish in a puff of smoke.

I see a plague pandemic spreading among the mostly rural collapse-survivors. Esp from regions where the unrelenting climate disasters make migration necessary.
So while Europe and USA are depopulated anyway due to high tech-dependency and lack of then-relevant knowledge and skills and Europe being under fallout from nuclear power reactors in meltdown,

the poorer, solely rural regions where low-tech skills and knowledge are still in living memory today and where I imagined the most survivors of the civilisation crash – those regions are still impacted by extreme weather events, so people migrate – and carry the plague bacteria with them. Dang!

  2. For CO2 to rise by 100ppm it took
12,800 years in the #Eemian and 13,400 years in the #Holocene
from the low-point to the peak of the interglacial. The fossil civilisation raised CO2 by 140ppm within 170 years.
And I reckon, when the fossil civilisation breaks apart, natural rewilding is going to draw down > 100ppm into trees within 60 years. Research in a new #RCPcollapse can find out how much and what that stressful phase does to the weather, sea level rise and so on.
