Yes, 1440p is better for older systems, but if you consider that 2160 = 1080 × 2 = 720 × 3, I think it’s a matter of preference. For example, I also want to be able to play demanding games at 720p or 1080p resolution.

There is a slight pixel scale issue at 1280x800 (Steam Deck resolution) because I need to scale it by 0.75 - probably nobody will ever notice, but it burns a hole in my eyes right now nevertheless. #gamedev #pixelperfect

Taking back an idea I had to play around during this holiday's week and:
1) i forgot how horrible #unity is when you want to have a #PixelPerfect games (really, can it be there's no guide updated with URP that handles #cinemachine, pixel perfect camera, and both sprites and UI?!?), and
2) I forgot how asinine unity's #UI system can be, especially when it comes to the black magic of forcing layouts to be recomputed -
And #pixelperfect (minus aspect ratio correction) #VGA display is possible in #xterm using bitmap(!) fonts I found here:
https://github.com/farsil/ibmfontsAs always, it wasn't *that* simple ... xterm expects a complete set of #VT100 drawing characters to be available, otherwise it will render its own which leads to funny color bugs at least with the "medium shade" used a lot in #ansiart ...
... so, let's patch the missing ones in (using dummy empty glyphs), which I did here in a #FreeBSD port for these fonts:

Great, now I want a #PixelPerfect #font (currently using #Spleen 6x12) with #CodeLigatures and #TextureHealing. The latter is an excellent feature; I hope many fonts adopt it.
