War ein kleines Weingut in Franken, übrigens, dem Feigenbaum zum trotze, und dank Hotelübernachtung fußläufig und damit KfZ-befreit konnten auch einige Tropfen verkostet werden nach getaner Arbeit… also jeden Abend könnte ich das nicht so machen. *hicks* 🤪

A MacBook Pro 2017 is not a reliable multitrack audio recorder. Just saying. At least not with Dante Virtual Soundcard when used in summer. Something throttles the entire machine when it gets too hot. Happened to me several times in open air situations.
In winter times, it works well.
Which I find quite annoying, because… the thing works well, and it was expensive. It's just not built well… Now I could get myself a used M1, but only if it doesn't run the latest version of macOS, because then it likely would not work with my mobile recording audio interface any more. (RME Fireface 400.)
Also, I was paid 50 bucks for the backup recording that wasn't 100% stable now, and I can't buy a 500€ used M1 from that now.

Und, wie ich leise beschämt reflektierend nun denke: Ich habe über Menschen gelacht, weil die so $YouNameIt sind und das in der hellen Öffentlichkeit, und diese Menschen sind das nun gefühlt auf alle Ewigkeit auf YouTube, wo Hunderttausende über sie lachen, und kommentieren, und all das.
Wie damals bei Arabella nur mit Rückkanal und ohne Verfallsdatum.
Wer es wirklich wissen will, weiß die YouTube-Suche zu bedienen.
Das Produktionsteam war sehr professionell und zwischenmenschlich angenehm. Ich habe den Live-Ton betreut und eine redundante Mehrspur-Ton-Aufzeichnung umgesetzt. Stuttgart, Amphitheater vom/am Mercedes Benz Museum, für Vöhringer #Veranstaltungstechnik.

Due to some unforeseeable changes I had to switch DVS to 32 channel mode in order to record 19 channels.
I'd feel much safer with my #RME #Digiface Dante setup running with a #MacMiniM1 (and Ardour), but budget-wise not even a MacBook Pro 2017 is properly paid on this gig.

Processing, faders, and buttons remained operational and so I could set the MixPad app to "follow selection" and use it as a screen replacement.

I almost had forgotten that I also had done the lights for that recording. Which is clearly visible in the audio. 🤪 OK, seriously: This was a concert situation with recording happening, so the grand piano and its player needed to be in the spotlight, for which a friendly #EventTech competitor gave me his crazy expensive #Arri #LC7 LED lights for free. (Heavy current outlets for Tungsten lights are often not found in churches. Today I own LED lights my self, also some neat tiny ones that don't have noisy fans.)
We have the same model of grand piano in our home now.
If you need some piano recordings, or other type of recording in the area of south-west Germany, @no-tlb can do it.
