About 10 years ago I picked up this #Pfaff 230 from an antique store in Utah on a road trip. It sat in the back of my closet until recently. It was seized up pretty bad but I was able to coax it into working today! I used a heat gun to soften up the gunk, then cleaned and applied new machine oil where I could.
It's a good thing this is a forgiving machine. I really don't know what I'm doing!
Now to learn how to #sew!

...ich hatte Glück, war eine Haushaltsauflösung;
gutes mechanisches Innenleben; richtig schwer das Teil; Kundenservice bei #PFAFF voll zuvorkommend, auch bei Ersatzteilbeschaffung; lässt sich mit ein wenig technischem Verständnis, leicht und logisch reinigen und warten; ich glaube man kann so um die 300 verschiedene Stichmuster mechanisch einstellen; ich nähe damit auch Outdoorausrüstung; Taschen (pouches) für Mollesystem; festes Gurtband doppellagig kein Problem; -
