I left my phone plugged in again and it's starting to really decrease in power rather quickly now
And so it's time for at least a new battery but hopefully a new phone because this one's like 5 years old and falling apart
Is there anyone that knows how to be certain that the phone is immune from that sort of tampering?

I said the other day before this was written, the #PagerAttack wasn't some genius-level, brilliant, innovative idea, any state/non-state actor of low-level ability could do this attack, but only one is reckless enough to carry it out & open this nightmare Pandora's Box future. Not Russia, Iran, nor North Korea, no, that country is #Israel.

One of the thousands of Motorola Apolo pagers that blew up across Lebanon and Syria yesterday during and Israeli terrorist cyber attack.
The Taiwanese company says that they outsourced the production of thesd devices to a company in Bulgaria.So everyone is trying to put the blame on others. The casing of the device was also changed to something much heavier and stronger to maximize the impact of the small explosive that was added to the device.

The devices were likely shipped without 18650 batteries installed. The attacker would only have to exchange a few packages of batteries instead of tampering with individual devices.
Then - speculation - the devices batteries would wait for an activation pattern that is broadcast to all devices on a specific network.Not to self: Maybe buying used 18650’s on ebay is not a good idea if you don’t have an x-ray at hand.
