On May 27 from 1–5pm, the #OpenStreetMap #Philippines community together with the #DeLaSalleUniversity Dr. Andrew L. Tan Data Science Institute will be holding the MAPAtalks Volume 1 mapping workshop! This will be the 1st major event of the local OSM community since last year's Pista ng Mapa and State of the Map Asia. 🗺️🎉

We're on a sprint for the #OSMaPaaralan challenge for June, with close to 900 schools reviewed and added on @openstreetmap in the last 6 days.
Top contributors will receive special prizes donated by the community, and will be announced in tonight's #WeMap session.

In last night's #WeMap session, the #OSMph community again show-cased its diversity with a #GeoLadies-led #MapaBabae session, to support campaigns to end violence against women and children, by mapping social facilities.

Last night's #WeMap session had ~37 participants not just from the #Philippines but also folks from#Australia, #Mexico and #NewZealand.
Thank you to everyone who made the session possible, especially those who contributed during #MapaTime and validated data in #Pampanga, for the local #HOTOSM #MAPampanga campaign to create better #OpenData for disaster preparedness.

One week into the new term and the #PUPSJCWTS students are back for #MapaTime, and contributing to mapping tasks in the #Philippines, in particular the community mapping project in Lupang Arenda, Taytay, Rizal.
The community is using vertical and horizontal imagery collected earlier by friends of #OSMph
