  1. I've been watching #DeathInParadise, a very easily digestible set in the #Caribbean on an island in #Guadalupe. Each episode is usually a murder case, where the main character - in the first couple of seasons, an inspector from London - sticks out like a sore thumb, but somehow manages to crack the case with the help of the local police department. As far as I know, it's a #colab between British, French and Dutch television that started back in 2015.

It's neither super sophisticated, nor high art, but I have to admit I enjoy the Caribbean vibe, the mystery and the characters, even if they aren't exactly complicated. You could say it's my guilty pleasure.

One thing bugs the living shit out of me though. I'm at season 2 now, and all of the monitors in the police station are still unplugged. Sure, there's a signal (VGA) cable permanently attached to the monitor, but no power cable.

    Annoying AF.

  5. I stress-tested Google’s new Colab MCP server with a real quantum workflow.

An AI agent took a blank Colab notebook and:
    • installed dependencies
    • fixed Qiskit compatibility issues
    • ran a 15-point H2 scan
    • submitted a real job to IBM Quantum hardware

This is where Colab gets interesting: not just notebook editing, but agent-operated cloud execution.

  6. 🤔 Ah, the classic tale of a tech enthusiast playing "will-it-blend?" with TPUs and Flash Attention! 🤪 Our hero Archer FAFO (Finds A Free Option) decides to port algorithms like he's playing a game of Tetris—except it's on a free-tier #TPU in #Colab, which is basically like using a Ferrari to deliver pizza for free. 🍕🚗

  7. #semanticClimate - in Feb we had 35 Workshop members join a sprint to document the use of #colab #jupyternotebooks for automated literature reviews - great work #NIPGR - in April we'll release the Notebooks used and carry out some more sprints to bed down the workflow

  9. #ai #aiart #googlecolab #colab #? The last couple days my google notebook has been stalling somewhere deep inside the black box that is FlaxStableDiffusionPipeline.from_pretrained() anyone out there have a #debugging google colab documents or video to recommend? (Boosts appreciated)
