So glad to find this Ohlala and Duge vinyl art toy by Filipino artist Reen Barrera (they're from the "Best Friends" series that come in blind boxes). This is my least liked set, but I can't really complain because I like Barrera's whimsical Ohlala and Duge creations. This is the piece I'm willing to spend on, for now. Maybe one day, I'll bring home a painting or a sculpture. 🤞

Made on a shoestring budget, the hit Teochew film Dear You has triggered a surge of interest from the Chinese diaspora and those wishing to reconcile with regional cultures.
The film has been one of China’s biggest box office surprises this year. Despite its modest 14 million yuan (US$2 million) production budget, it had grossed 1.9 billion yuan by June 27, less than two months after its release.
The film, starring a largely rookie cast, debuted in April and was initially available on less than 4 per cent of the country’s screens, but has since grown into a national phenomenon through word of mouth.

- They have so many series based on police & lawyers being heroes. *she makes a puke face, saying that*
- Do you notice they enjoy having abused/mistreated women kill their jerk bfs/husbands/bosses? I think it's because many Asian men are still threatened by feminism. *she smirks & then laughs*
- They really love food & eating. There's a focus on food in almost every movie/series. I love seeing foods being included in almost all Asian shows. *she grins*

I grow #ThaiMint & #VietnameseCoriander out of one of two repurposed bathtubs that I use for #gardening purposes.
Vietnamese coriander isn't a true coriander. It's actually an #edible #knotweed. Never put these into the ground if you don't want it to spread. I grow all of ours in containers. I have 2 large grow bags with lots of them growing.
