The team is in a journey of discovery, learning about the potentials of #OpenData, as they help add the city's bike lanes, and work with the #biking, #activeMobility and #opendata
community to help map the local data gaps in OSM

We even managed a group-fie with some participants. 😆

After last week's #wemap webinar, the #OpenStreetMap contributors in #Mandaue in the #Cebu region are now collecting #Mapillary street-level imagery, with the goal of documenting and working on to improve the open map data for biking infrastructure in the city.

With fresh imagery, they are taking advantage of computer vision to detect objects: traffic signs, bike racks, speed limits, etc.

We had the first #WeMap session for 2021, with the #MandaueCity team from their planning and development office.

They're planning to capture #Mapillary photos to document their city's existing biking infrastructure, and share their data to #OpenStreetMap soon.

In last night's 14th #WeMap session, we had another of the local #FOSS4GPH folks conduct a webinar/demo for easy web mapping with Mapbox's Sheet Mapper

We're on a sprint for the #OSMaPaaralan challenge for June, with close to 900 schools reviewed and added on @openstreetmap in the last 6 days.
