@RobJLow @andrewt Similarly for me, I wasn't seeing the hate and bigotry on Twitter (except for deliberately engaging with a homophobe once).

Leaving was my vote against Musk's promotion of that awfulness, suppression of journalists reporting on it, and enshittification of the platform.

(If I contributed content FOR FREE, the least the company could do was show a little respect and not be thoroughly evil. I reposted the "most important" of my #OldTwitterPosts here.)

Women and girls are daughters, sisters, etc., but if that’s the only reason someone cares, they’re missing that women are equal, worthy human beings in their own right.

Even if being #LGBTQ+ were a “choice”, it would be morally neutral – unlike the right-wing #religious LIFESTYLE (yes, plenty of churches and groups will eagerly help you adopt their one true religion!) that has caused untold suffering and DEATH.

Every kid who’s been kicked out of their home for being LGBTQ+, every kid who’s committed #suicide because they’ve had it drummed into them that they must be “normal” cishet or else, that blood is on the #conservative religious LIFESTYLE’s hands.

“But they’ll be saved and go to heaven” is NO EXCUSE.

Any #God who’s “all-powerful” yet allows gratuitous suffering and death as part of his “plan” is nothing more than a sadistic, narcissistic ASSHOLE, who’s worthy not of worship but resistance.

A God who CAN’T STAND LGBTQ* people living authentically, yet creates [or allows–see next tweet] them anyway, makes as much sense as a person who HATES liver and onions yet cooks it every night only to throw it in the garbage.
