#Olauncher tip: you can rename applications in the all-applications drawer with an emoji at the beginning so tat they get sorted to the top of the list. That way you get six extra hand-picked launchers on a secondary screen from the main eight.

The application names aren't sorted, because the emojis are different, but you could probably use something like a bullet "•" instead so that the names remain sorted.

Back on #OLauncher, thanks to @joel's recommendation. It's what I was using before I got on #KISSLauncher, which is now sloppified.

But OLauncher's still clean, even though they have a proprietary "Pro" version!? 🤷‍♂️ 😄 👍

(Which, to be clear, is a great virtue in launchers, if that's what you're going for. ;)

I've flip-flopped back and forth between the stock launcher and things like #KISSLauncher / #OLauncher, but I'm back on stock now, because I got used to having that [spatial arrangement], and because I use the Private Space feature in the stock launcher in Android 15. ;)

Recently, I switched to #olauncher as a launcher for #lineageos I run on my phone. It was just an experiment with #minimalist environment which, as I expected, was supposed to end quickly. It is two months now! I realized I am obsessed with organizing the icons "the perfect way", which is just not the thing here 😉 All you need to do is: select 8 favorite apps at max, and remember 3 basic gestures (swipe from left and right to start the most used apps, from bottom to get a list of all apps).

Acabo de cambiar mi launcher de #android por #microlauncher (ulauncher en #fdroid) y estoy bastante satisfecha con su minimalismo, y además me parece mejor que #olauncher donde no podía cambiar el fondo de pantalla.

Second day using #OLauncher and I must say so far I'm liking it. And I feel I'm getting a bit of control back again of how I use my phone ☺️

Twice now it happened that I grabbed my phone without a clear goal in mind just to put it back down because I really didn't need to use it at that moment 🤔

Somehow having all the apps listed as words instead of flashy icons helps me take away that feeling of wasting time looking at the screen or #doomscrolling in an app or whatever 😁

para ativá-lo, basta ir em "configurações", digitar na barra de pesquisa por "digital wellbeing", e ativar a ferramenta — e, sim, para a surpresa de zero pessoas, a #google deixa-a desativada por padrão !
