  1. The result of my #n8n / #octoeverywhere / #metabase jiggery-pokery is a nice stats dashboard with info about my 3D prints. It's 100% automated, the only caveat is I have to add the filament type in the name of the print somewhere in order to grab that data but that's hardly a bother

  2. I have to say, OctoEverywhere is amazing. Ai failure detection works super well and I tend to trust the AI when it says it's looking great. I definitely want to support the project once I can because #octoeverywhere is amazing for #3dprinting.

  3. I interviewed Quinn Damerell, the lead developer behind #OctoEverywhere a tool to remotely control your #3dprinter and how it connects with #BambuLab printers. Quinn is a very passionate developer who wants to make the community better. It was really nice to interview him! You can find the interview here: allaboutbambu.com/2025/02/09/o

I am experimenting with tree supports which I have never really had much success using. We will see what happens here.

If you see something, say something!

  5. @ROMSY

Offf! I had my first print like this happened this week. But #OctoEverywhere #AI bot detetectsd it and saved me a lot of filament.

  6. Interesting concept to introduce #Webhooks to #Mastodon. This would be great for bots, and easily allow you to connect to something like #Octoeverywhere to have notifications send as DMs to you, rather than using something like #Telegram or #email.

  7. After enjoying #Octoprint for the last 7 months and upgrading to #Klipper and #Mainsail, one of my other greatest hinders of moving to Klipper was the loss of #OctoEverywhere

Byt, they recently announced native and full support for Klipper. So, I just decided to upgrade from the free tier and support them.

I can now control and monitor my 3D printer from anywhere, and I just love it! They are definitely one of the best projects out there, and I highly recommend them.

Their #AI webcam monitoring Gadget is also amazing. It has only detected one fail, no misses. I only had one so far. But my print dislodged from the printer bed, and it immediately stopped my print. I had no false positives at all, and it probably has monitored about 20 hours of printing.

I feel a lot safer and more confident with it and so happy I am now supporting them!

They have a 14-day free trial for anyone who wants to try it!

  8. I then installed #OctoEverywhere because they recently announced full and mative #Klipper support, and I am already a huge fan and paying member, so I just had to have it.

Unfortunately, I did use it through #Octoapp and #Octoprint, which made the transition from my home wifi and being iut over mobile data sesmless. I could sit in a movie theater and check my printer webcam on my smartwatch, just stupid amounts of nerd gadgets!

I'll have to do some more investigation to see how I will be using it when I am out and about. Otherwise, I might just create my own local #VPN for this.

    We'll see!

  9. Although I enjoyed my #Klipper transition. I stayed with #Octoprint, which was actually the final straw.

Although I could live without my printer's display, the lag and sluggish and slow #UI of Octoprint just pushed me over the limit. I felt as if I couldn't react to my printer anymore.

So with a heavy heart, I removed my SD card, wiped it and installed a clean version of #Raspbian OS Lite, and used #KIAUH to install #Klipper, #Mainsail, #KlipperScreen, #Crowsnest, #Moonraker and #Octoeverywhere

  14. The amazing #Octoprint plugin #OctoEverywhere now has full #Klipper support! This is really amazing for Klipper and the Octoprint community using it instead of #Fluidd and #Mainsail. Until now, Octoprint was manly the good choice for the plugin support, but this will allow for all the great remote #Marlin features with Klipper!
