I was talking a while back about maybe retiring this #muddle persona and "spinning up" a new one. I was being flippant, of course. Any pseudonym that a person hides behind (however inexpertly) is or tends to be a reflection of at least one aspect of who that person is. It's not like a change of clothes discarded in a corner of a room.

Sometimes, though, it is time to remove or retire a costume. At other times, it might be time to mix and match: to reintegrate some aspects of our former selves. You know, for the new season (to strain a metaphor).

Other times, it really is time for a clean break. Like "could I get a job that's right for me?," "should I finally just leave like I've been threatening to do?" or "fuck it. The Witness Protection Program looks pretty sweet right now." Whatever it is, maybe sometimes it's right to just kill your darlings.

@GurgelSegrillo and it should be easy to make a pitch, right? There are tons of developers out there who could be making a useful contribution. I'm not saying this for my #muddle thing, which is interesting in a kind of niche way, but even hobby projects can be useful cos it shows that people have an interest in something, can probably teach others and get involved in something collaborative with other people and their particular needs.

Of course, I suppose the other way is just networking and trying to start up community projects but not sure if open source devs (or even artists?) have those skills.
