Dead Bob is the solo incarnation of John Wright, drummer of long time and apparently legendary, but now retired, Canadian punk band No Means No (NMN). Wright has spent 50 years drumming, 45 years songwriting, 30 years touring, three years helping robots play punk rock, 30 years brewing, and a lifetime playing music – in more bands than you can count on one hand.
Currently practising drums, working on the next two albums and having a beer, Wright is not planning on slowing down any time soon. The material on “Life Like” spans decades and there’s lots more in the vault. The album was recorded and produced by Wright in the wilds of British Columbia and while he primarily wrote and performed it himself, he can’t take all of the credit, having engaged the help of several friends inclding Byron Slack (Invasives), Kristy Lee Audette (Rong), Ford Pier (Ford Pier and the Vengeance Trio, DOA, Roots Round up, Junior Gone Wild, Rheostatics), Selina Martin, his son Aidan Wright, as well as two old collaborations with his brother Rob in the writer’s chair.
As might be expected, the songs roll out cohesively but defy the cookie cutter pigeon holes, hence “Genre” is a tough one to convey but one thing that is not unclear is it is not to be listened to quietly! We aim to make sure you hear it all good and loud!

Portland’s DIY punk icon, rock n roll godmother and, co-founder of legendary DEAD MOON, TOODY COLE is bringing the heat to OCCII Amsterdam, 1st of September 2026 with Jenny Don’t & The Spurs!
Direct from Clackamas, Oregon, Toody Cole (Dead Moon) & Her Band centers on one of the most influential figures in American DIY rock & roll. As co-founder and driving force of the iconic band Dead Moon, Toody Cole, alongside her husband and creative partner Fred Cole, helped forge a raw, uncompromising sound that formed a living bridge between original ’60s American garage rock and later punk, garage, and early grunge movements. Her punchy, melodic bass playing and unmistakable vocal presence were essential to Dead Moon’s power-trio dynamic, anchoring a fiercely independent body of work that continues to resonate across generations.
Following the passing of drummer Andrew Loomis and Fred Cole, Toody carries the Dead Moon songbook forward with Kelly Haliburton (drums), her longtime bandmate from Pierced Arrows, and Christopher March (guitar) of Jenny Don’t & The Spurs. Together, Toody Cole & Her Band honour the grit, emotional weight, and self-reliant spirit of Dead Moon’s catalog, delivering these songs with renewed urgency and reverence while preserving one of American rock & roll’s most enduring DIY legacies.
Jenny Don’t and the Spurs have spent over a decade forging their own path in music, pioneering a unique brand of high-energy Country Western that captivates fans from the traditional Western scene to the raw energy of garage rock. Their captivating stage presence, infectious enthusiasm, and extensive discography have garnered them a global following, leading to tours on continents rarely visited by country bands.
Jenny Don’t, known for her strong-willed and independent nature, embodies the authentic outlaw spirit of Country Western music. Her songwriting, influenced by the contrasting landscapes of the Pacific Northwest and Southwestern desert, forms the bedrock of their sound. The band skillfully merges their garage-rock origins with a distinct western flair, characterized by driving tempos, gritty fuzz tones, and a high-octane, rockin’ western delivery that sets them apart from the herd. Their music authentically captures the outlaw spirit, with hints of gritty surf like Dick Dale, while paying homage to classic country legends like Johnny Paycheck and George Jones.
Now with Buddy Weeks on drums, the band continues to showcase their resilience and fresh energy. Bass player Kelly Halliburton and lead guitarist Christopher March, whose reverb-drenched tones echo the haunting allure of the desert night sky, round out the core. TRAIDORA started in early 2023 as the solo project of Eva Leblanc, a Venezuelan-born trans-woman immigrant, living in the UK. She is a multi-disciplinary artist who finds time to play experimental music, collaborate with Eve Libertine of CRASS, as well as being active in the local punk scene.
She released a seven-track demo “Un Cuerpo Trans Lleno de Odio” (“A Trans Body Full of Hate”), since issued as 7” via Disforia Records, Metadona and Rock Svb, of raw electronic-drums hardcore-punk sang in Spanish, bringing to the table her personal experience as a Latin American trans-feminist, living in an oppressive society. TRAIDORA has played relentlessly both in UK and abroad, with different line ups, but always bringing an uncompromising political hardcore punk to the stage. Against all odds, both to receptive and not-so-receptive audiences.
Fast forward to 2025 and with a steady line-up made up of four queer people, TRAIDORA enter Bear Bite Horse Studios to record their first full length. The result – heavily influenced by the hardest side of Latin American punk – is thirteen blasts of sharp and blown-up crude hardcore punk. Sonically sitting somewhere between DROP DEAD, MASACRE 68 and LOS CRUDOS. Supermarkt is a five-piece Noise {Dance} rock band :3 based in Amsterdam. The sound is raw, real, relentless. SOGA is a punk band from Mexico City that’s been active since 2018. They play energetic, fast, loud and raw hardcore punk with a political and feminist message. SOGA is Violeta on bass and vocals, Sara on guitar and vocals and Angy on drums. They have two albums out on Iron Lung Records, the most recent one titled “Corrosión” which they’re bringing for their first ever European tour in 2026.
SMETVREES Founded in 2023 by singer Ted and guitarist Kees, they still love to work together and make danceable, raw punk full of energy and chaos. They live for the stage and love when the crowd goes wild, dancing, moshing, and crowd surfing. Give them a few drink vouchers, a bunch of bananas, a crate of beer, and their day is complete.
Bottled Violence is a five-piece noise-punk band formed at Rock City Institute in Eindhoven that has been playing together for almost a year now. Live, they transform into a vast blur of harsh feedback, fuzz, screaming vocals, and loud drums. Their lyrics reveal that they hold clear opinions on society, covering topics such as monarchy, capitalism, and human rights. This was also evident in their performance at a housing rights protest in Eindhoven, as well as in performances in squats. The band’s inspirations can also be heard coming from Minor Threat, Dead Kennedys, and Sonic Youth.

Chaser + Ink Bomb

Melodic punkrock met een open hart en een positieve lading: Chaser komt recht uit Zuid-Californië en speelt punk zoals het bedoeld is. Snel, melodieus en doordrenkt van vriendschap, energie en overtuiging. Wat begon als een hechte vriendengroep groeide uit tot een band die wereldwijd indruk maakt met shows die even intens als oprecht zijn.
Sinds 2018 tourt Chaser onafgebroken door Europa, Canada en de Verenigde Staten. Ze stonden in uitverkochte clubs en op grote punk- en hardcorefestivals, waar ze een reputatie opbouwden als liveband die je niet wilt missen. Niet door groot vertoon, maar door verbinding. Hun shows voelen als een gezamenlijke uitlaatklep waarin punk, hardcore, metal en rock samenkomen.
Op het podium is Chaser energiek en meeslepend, maar altijd toegankelijk. Hun muziek is opzwepend zonder cynisch te worden, krachtig zonder hard te hoeven zijn. Het resultaat is een set die verbindt, optilt en je met hernieuwde energie de zaal uitstuurt.
10 jaar, snoeiharde shows en geen greintje punkcliché. De Nijmeegse punkrockers van Ink Bomb brengen snelle, agressieve tracks vol melodie en melancholie. Met hun album Saudade en shows door heel Europa zijn ze meer dan klaar om Den Bosch op z’n kop te zetten.Geschikt voor liefhebbers van: Rise Against, Pennywise, Bad Religion, Strike Anywhere.

Deaf Club uit Amerika staat bekend om hun explosieve liveshows die uitpuilen van de energie. Verwacht knalharde hardcore, punk met grindcore vol sarcasme, blastbeats en chaos.
De bandleden hebben hun sporen verdiend bij The Locust, ACxDC en Dead Cross. Als kwartet zijn ze verantwoordelijk voor snelle, compacte bommetjes die daarbij nog flink technisch elkaar zitten. De combinatie van crust, punk, hardcore en grindcore zijn een compromisloze aanval op het gehoor. Thema’s als maatschappelijke waanzin, consumptiecultuur en dagelijkse frustratie worden daarnaast in een razend tempo door de microfoon gespuwd, vaak met een wrange, zwarte humor. Dat Deaf Club een band is die je live moet ondergaan is dan ook een understatement…
Het Belgische Lintworm staat garant voor een krankzinnige dosis vrolijk geweld en kleurrijke duisternis. Deze aardige jongens hebben een fascinatie voor het absurde en ongemakkelijke. Hun nieuwe album ‘Everything Was Still Covered In Glitter’ is geproduceerd door Tim de Gieter (Amenra, Doodseskader) en staat vol avontuurlijk grindcore, powerviolence, noise en andere indringende, ontwrichtende geluiden.

Luister even naar de laatste plaat van Deaf Club op Southern Lord 'We Demand a Permanent Sate of Happiness' (NIET op Spotify wel op BANDCAMP) en plan alvast je molenwieken op dit spijkerbed van D-beat, sci-fi grindcore en chaotische hardcore.Dit staaltje teringherrie is bovendien ook nog politiek geladen dus deze muzikale agressie staat ook nog eens voor maatschappelijk bewustzijn, iets wat we alleen maar kunnen toejuichen. Kneiterhard rammen voor een betere wereld. Let's hope so...

Opener is het Hilversumse Servals, een band die de mosterd haalt bij noise bands als Drive Like Jehu, Unwound en Fugazi. Dynamische post hardcore met duizelingwekkende noisy gitaren.

Powerplant + HITMEN NOSPRAY X ROTOWN PRESENT

Powerplant en HITMEN komen op woensdag 27 mei naar Rotown voor een double bill, georganiseerd door Nospray. Powerplant uit Londen is al lange tijd een gevestigde naam in de synthpunkscene. Verwacht een all-out punkact die duidelijk voortborduurt op het geluid van grootheden als DEVO en The Screamers. HITMEN, ook uit Londen, staat bekend om hun ’90s alternative rock-sound met duidelijke invloeden van Dinosaur Jr. en Built to Spill. Met slechts één uitgebrachte EP op zak heeft de band nu al een indrukwekkende livereputatie opgebouwd.
Nospray is een Rotterdams DIY collectief met scherp oor richting de meest opwindende bands van morgen. Compromisloos en punk, in zowel de liefde voor muziek als arbeidsethos, een Nospray line-up geeft net zoveel aandacht aan vernieuwers in de gitaarmuziek als ondergewaardeerde bands uit het verleden. De lokale muziekscene bloeit sneller dan ooit sinds de opkomst van Nospray, en dat is geen toeval.
