Fantastic Átjan Wild Islands Mountain Marathon today, although it was raining heavily for the first 3 hours, the trails were wet and muddy, the streams were heavy and the course brutal. Proud to be one of 10 trail runners that completed the fabulous inaugural Tjørnuvík-Tórshavn mountain ultra marathon (50k) today. Started out 7am in thick and wet fog in Tjørnuvík and went over the mountains to Hvalvík, and after that the skies got ever more blue as we approached Tórshavn. Other runners did parts of the route.
