Über Berufsberatung bin ich ja zum ersten Mal intensiver mit dem Myers-Briggs-Typenindikator in Kontakt gekommen. #16Personalities-Archetypen a la Tarot-Hofkarten als IRL-RPG-Charakterklassen, um eben mit Hilfe von Komplexitätsreduktion verschiedene Menschen-Typen besser zu organisieren.
Bin skeptisch fasziniert. Heikel, Leuz auf Dauer in EINE Schublade zu stecken, andererseits ist es nun mal ein populäres Werkzeug.

The reach and influence of K-pop and K-drama / K-movie on reviving something forgotten.
The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and Keirsey Temperament Sorter (KTS) were popular in the late 20th Century. It was once expected to include it in your resumé or CV (Curriculum Vitae). It went on up to around 2007 but fogotten after that.
Around that time when the rest of the English-speaking world has forgotten about it, Koreans picked up MBTI (in 2008?) and it became part of their "modern" culture. It replaced knowing one's Blood Type and the Nimrod Zodiac Sign.
As "Hallyu" became a thing globally, MBTI became popular again. Many people today even assume that you're a K-pop or K-drama fan if you share your MBTI. 🤷🏽♂️ Which of course, as is usually the case with assumptions, is not necessarily true (often false).
The only "funny" thing about the resurgence of MBTI is that, majority—no doubt—got their MBTI from those silly free online quizzes. 😅 In other words, their MBTI is more likely inaccurate (as far as the approved exams by the MBTI Foundation is concerned of course). 😆
That's the power of the Korean [culture] wave.

≫ I refer to my sona as me/myself and her (3rd person), but inside my head (daydreams), we are one entity/person. We are the same and different, ik it's weird. Nomi and Sini are different basically. So for example when I say OCxCanon I usually mean a ship with Nomi (or another OC). I use selfship to mean specifically Nomi. When I refer to F/Os, I'm talking about relationships Nomi is in (aka me, inside my daydreams). Nomi uses She/Her pronouns, while I, Sini, use Ae/aer, which can help distinguish which "self" I'm talking about. Just maladaptive daydream things lmao. I will write an in-depth post at some point, Please ask if I'm confusing or just wanna learn more <3

Just popped on here after 4 days of not being here and OMG, the introverted pet owner poll now has 200 respondents!!! Contrast that with the extroverted and ambiverted pet owner polls, which only have 12 and 18 total poll-takers, respectively. Why is this not surprising?!🤣

The terms #HSP and #empath are NOT interchangeable or mutually exclusive. It's possible to be one without being the other, or one can be both. The primary distinction between the two? Stimulation sensitivity (HSP) vs. energy absorption from ppl and places (empath). Most HSPs and empaths are #introverts.

--#Introvert, mostly, although I'm technically an #ambivert who leans more heavily toward #introversion these days. (That's a whole other story in & of itself.🤣) Since ANTJ doesn't yet appear as an accepted #MBTI term, that's why I put #INTJ on my profile. It's complicated. In any case, my closest friends are all #introverts. From all the #neuroscience literature that I've read, I'm convinced #personality is more dynamic than ppl think.
