The ending of "Mac & Me" had a horrifying omen: "We'll be back."
It has been 35 years. Maybe the aliens were overly optimistic, and have no plans of returning.
But this could also be a ticking timebomb. Every additional second, there's a nonzero chance of Mac and family coming back.
Eventually we're going to roll boxcars. Then we're faced with three fast food-quaffing extraterrestrials, back in our lives like a ghosted relative at a reunion.
