  1. If you are curious what new #arm related features will be in the soon to be tagged 11.1 release of #qemu then I have the #blog post for you: linaro.org/blog/closing-the-ha

  2. This has been brewing for awhile at work but finally the announcement is public. Previously to join in the collaborative engineering at #linaro you started with a discussion about membership costs and engineering commitment. The new #corecollective removes the financial barrier to entry so more people can be involved in working out what is needed before working out how to fund that work: linaro.org/news/linaro-address

  3. This is right up my alley. A discussion about the merits of the various #simd implementations. There is even a mention of #linaro and #arm in the episode. #FLOSS Weekly: Episode 857: SOCification b27a1a7a-dbb9-4922-ac3e-601e2d #podcast

  4. Tuxedo won’t sell a Linux laptop with Qualcomm Snapdragon X after all

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X series processor made a big splash when they first hit the scene last year, because they were the first Arm-based chips for Windows PCs that promised competitive performance with the Intel and AMD processors that have dominated the market for decades. 5. And that's a wrap for #kvmforum2025. It's great to catch up with the people I work with every week but rarely see in person. Excellent talks and as always a very productive hallway track.

Time to head out for the #linaro team meal. Hopefully I'll be able to navigate tomorrow's airline worker strikes to get home.

  6. The latest #qemu just dropped. The biggest #emulation feature #Linaro worked on was the next iteration of the Scalable Matrix Extensions (FEAT_SME2) which you can currently only see in the wild on #Apple's #m4 hardware. If you want to test those local inference kernels before wider silicon availability then grab yourself of copy now. #tcg #plugins also gained features for read/write access to memory as well as registers for the reverse engineering crowd to play with. 7.

  8. Oh joy, another thrilling exposé on the *"mysterious"* #JTAG lurking in your Snapdragon's #USB port — because who wouldn't want to tinker with #hidden #debug interfaces on their phone? 🤔🙄 Clearly, nothing screams "party" like rummaging through the "exhilarating" depths of a #Linaro #blog. 🎉🔧
