This 2 gang light switch was €2.75 in B&Q and looks nicer than the old one ~20 mins to replace the old one. Probably saved us €100 and loads of time just waiting to see if a Sparky actually turns up!

PowerToys si è aggiornato ed ha introdotto (con attivazione automatica) l'interruttore della luce, ovvero il Light Switch che attiva e disattiva la modalità dark in automatico in base all'orario. Ho perso mezza giornata per capire perché la modalità scura si disabilitava sempre da sola.

Here's an old light switch that's in the basement of a house across the street from us. It works like any light switch. Click it one way and it’s dark. Click it the other way and the light's on.

Notice anything odd about it?

(Does anyone know why it would be this way? It's cast metal so it's seems like an unlikely mistake.)

Hoping someone out there can offer the advice I need to solve some of my light fittings 😅

I’ve got a few of the #aqara #zigbee light switches around, but have a few points that are like these brown switch panel on rough brick. I’m not sure how I’m going to get a switch to sit on that as they’re 2-3 gang vertically, are smaller, and it seems as though the brick was cut to fit them.

The Aqara switches are larger and wouldn’t fit.. so is there some custom mould I could put there to raise the switches from the wall?

My current home in Melbourne is my first house in Australia where the lightswitches make sense. The button closest to the kitchen turns the kitchen light on, and not an overhead light in the hallway. The switch closest to the door turns the outside light on, and not a back patio somewhere. Only recently realised how much I missed that sense of sanity in my life in the last 13 years 😂

Here's a plank of wood with three old light switches on it, a battery pack and a few LEDs.

Who would want such a thing ? Our ~18 month old grandson. He's fascinated with switching the lights on and off so I made this as a Christmas present so that he could safely flick switches as much as he likes and watch the lights go on and off.

It got dropped and one of the light switch covers broke (bakelite-like plastics aren't great with impacts) so I just repaired it with a new (old) switch cover.

At work we have some simple #webapps I'm charged with maintaining. BUT, they were programmed in #LightSwitch 😱 . I've never used LS and it's just gross.

I'll make new ones - I'm a wiz at C#, right? Well... my web experience is TINY. I can read #Blazor code FINE and I THINK I can do it, but then I get stuck trying to wrap my head around authenticating users auto-grabbing their windows login & AD security groups and I get nervous. Note: I'm the ONLY #data guy with #dotNet xp so I'm alone.
