The day wasn't great. But I managed to motivate myself to get on the bike for an afternoon ride. And this was - just - so - good.
I almost did a more mountainous route but I opted for speed. I'm happy with my choice.

I stepped on my #MTB and suddenly found myself in the #mountains. I was thinking whether to go back down to the right or further on to the left... The road led me to the left, continuing a little adventure towards a section that I hadn't been #cycling yet.

We spent some nice hours on our bicycles.
Wonderful sunny day, lots of green around and a pleasure for the legs.No photos today. I just wanted to pedal and enjoy all around without touching any other devices than the bike.

Little walk along the river Isar

Just a little one and a half hour walk nearby before it was supposed to be raining (and rugby starts).
It was a nice walk and good to be out. Strangely, my old GPS device refused to get a location despite having lots of satellites. Just 10min before coming back (after a couple of restarts and taking the batteries out and back in) it worked.
Fortunately, I only had it with me to test if my heart rate monitor also connects to it.

I went to the local hill / mountain today to escape the fog / clouds. Well and also to see whether the fog would create some nice mood to capture along the way that I'm walking rather often.
And indeed it was a very pleasant experience to walk into the fog and breaking through it to see some blue sky.

It's a lovely day today and we spent some time there watching paragliders and the autumn leaf. - afterwards we drove to a café for some soup, coffee and cake.

Ooof, we did some longer-than-expected tour from #lenggries to #achensee. I have taken several recordings in Strava because we made some stops in-between, so the picture shows half of the route and only the way back, which was mostly going downhill. A new record for us, total of ~70km.
I would love to come back here to a bit better weather (there was a heat wave) and take a boat ride or do some hiking, Achensee is really nice and big.

And there I was close to the summit. Finally!
I was happy to get a snack and relax my legs a bit. I wasn't alone up there but it wasn't crowded. Well it was just great to be there again.
I think it was just the second time in a decade that I was up there. Even though I can see the summit from my home 🙂

Heute. Bestes Ausflugswetter. Mit der #Bahn von #München nach #Lenggries. Alle Züge auf die Minute pünktlich. Hin und Rück ausreichend Sitzplätze. Alle Fahrräder (hatte der Rose-Laden eigentlich Betriebsausflug?^^) passten entspannt in den Zug. #IchWeißEsDochAuchNicht

We just came back from a 4h walk in #jachenau near #lenggries and #badtoelz.
I did quite some #openstreetmap / #streetcomplete additions, took some photos and clips...
It's still quite hazy, but I think it's getting better.
Trying to compile a short video later... Stay tuned.

On thursday was our annual works outing. We took the train to #BadTölz in the morning, had a long and very good breakfast in #CafeLove and then we took a 2.5 hour long walk along the #Isar to #Lenggries. There we had coffee and very good "Strudel" in #BrotUndTorte before jumping on the train back to Munich. What a wonderful day!

As my wife can't hike currently, I just did a quick hike (800m, 4h) to a local #mountain. Very lonely on the upward part, very busy at the summit and during the down part.
But it's been a nice loop. And I've cleaned backpack and shoes already! They needed a good wash after winter anyways. Now everything needs to dry.
