Unsere #Landschaften sind viel mehr als nur schön anzusehen. Sie kühlen an heißen Tagen, speichern Wasser und helfen dabei, die Folgen der #Klimakrise abzufedern. 🌿💧
Der ECONICS- Grün-Feucht-Kühl-Index 2026 macht sichtbar, wie gut unsere Landschaften diese Aufgaben noch erfüllen. Er bewertet, wie leistungsfähig Natur beim Kühlen, Wasserspeichern und Anpassen an die Klimakrise ist.
Das Ergebnis ist alarmierend: Vielerorts verlieren Landschaften diese Fähigkeiten. Leider auch in Bayern. Versiegelte Flächen, entwässerte #Moore, ausgebaute #Flüsse und intensiv genutzte Agrarlandschaften sorgen dafür, dass Wasser schneller abfließt, Böden austrocknen und sich die Umgebung stärker aufheizt.
Die gute Nachricht: #Renaturierung wirkt. 🌱
Wo Moore wiedervernässt, Flüsse renaturiert oder naturnahe #Lebensräume erhalten werden, kann die #Natur ihre Funktionen zurückgewinnen. Das zeigt auch ein LBV-Projekt im #Ebenbergfilz im Landkreis #BadTölz: Wiedervernässte Moorflächen speichern Wasser, vermeiden CO₂-Emissionen und bleiben selbst in Trockenperioden feucht.
Damit #Bayern auch in #Zukunft lebenswert bleibt, brauchen wir:

💧 gesunde Moore und Flüsse
🌾 vielfältige Agrarlandschaften
🏙️ mehr Grün in unseren StädtenIntakte Natur hält Wasser in der Landschaft, kühlt unsere Umgebung und macht uns widerstandsfähiger gegen die Folgen der Klimakrise.

Last day of vacation! We just did a small walk to our local hill. The clouds in the south look pretty grey, while it looked nice in the north.

There were really A LOT of cyclists around. Well, the weather was just great!
And in hindsight I'm happy that I had the camera with me, even though it sometimes feels weird, being the only one with an actioncam ...

Blaue Stunde an der Isar in Bad Tölz: glattes Wasser, leuchtende Stadt, scharfer Kies – und ein Fotograf, der merkt, dass zwischen RAW-Datei und Meisterwerk noch ein paar Jahre Übung liegen. Selbstironie inklusive. -
Now this was a gorgeous cycling loop. Temperature was around freezing but luckily just few wind. As you see, the weather was ace. Clouds and fog stayed in the north 🌞
Also tried Knee warmers, which was just right! A very good buy!
I just need a solution against freezing toes. @TimKStanton ,I bought neoprene toe warmer! The shoes are just a bit tight then, that's why I didn't have them today. Maybe a mistake 🤔

Usually you see epic photos from atop this mountain but not from the mountain itself.

I usually post in the evening today's post inthe morning for the 'Fotovorschlag' somehow broke my routine.
Anyways, I wanted to share this photo from my hike on sunday. It was my first winter-hike this season! Saturday was a great cloud inversion - which I missed - sunday greeted me (and QUITE some more hikers) with a plain blue sky.
I hope I can get out again on the weekend to test warmer socks.

Having a real calm day today with a leisure walk.

On thursday was our annual works outing. We took the train to #BadTölz in the morning, had a long and very good breakfast in #CafeLove and then we took a 2.5 hour long walk along the #Isar to #Lenggries. There we had coffee and very good "Strudel" in #BrotUndTorte before jumping on the train back to Munich. What a wonderful day!

Hey! Last vacation day!
It got ways warmer now, so all the trails will be covered in wet, heavy snow and probably ice. That didn't sound overly inviting.Therfore we opted for a #cycling loop on asphalt. That was a really good loop now. Unexpected warm wind and a couple of nice views.
Now having lunch, a rest and then wash off the salt from the bikes.

Winter has finally arrived!
We just went to town to pick up my wife's repaired mountain boots. In the shop, I saw a pair of snow shoes. Pretty nice. But 320€ - Uff I think I'll use mine for a little more or keep eyes open for some second hand ones.
Anyways. It feels a bit strange: we went to vianna in autumn and came back in winter.

Hi all, 🙋cheers from a little #cycling loop that we just had.
During some rough trail I lost my water bottle 😟 (at least I think so. I just realised it wayys later). But still we had some nice two hours outside cycling.
I wanted to share some view around with you, so that you get an impression of the region I'm living in.

Today we opted for a local mountain without snow. We just regarded it too dangerous to go somewhere where we would have faced more snow.
It was a great walk and we both enjoyed it. We both have to get used to dressing for cooler temperatures!
Nevertheless, lots of fresh air, a nice lunch at the restaurant on top... Just nice.
And I'm thinking of buying a proper bag for my bike 🤔

Started at about 25+°C but it really felt great. I didn't dare to go for a big elevation due to the heat, so I just cycled one of my standard loops.
Best decision today!
