Okay, I don't get why I would cycle the tour the way it's suggested there. Wouldn't I drive the longer and less steep way UP and the steeper part down? 🤔

Instagram is a lie. According to the search, there are ONLY beautiful, young women / girls around #achensee
The only ppl I've seen were sweaty, no models, some not even smiling.
I want my money back! 😉
But I can so understand how ppl can feel bad if you get sucked into that. -

Erster Tag der #Radtour in die Alpen. Nach einem späten Frühstück ungefähr um 11h in #München los, Kaffee in #Lenggries mit Blick auf die Gleitschirmflieger. Abendessen am #Achensee sollte machbar sein.

Ooof, we did some longer-than-expected tour from #lenggries to #achensee. I have taken several recordings in Strava because we made some stops in-between, so the picture shows half of the route and only the way back, which was mostly going downhill. A new record for us, total of ~70km.
I would love to come back here to a bit better weather (there was a heat wave) and take a boat ride or do some hiking, Achensee is really nice and big.

That day in the #rofangebirge was a bit remarkable. I totally forgot that temperature decreases with increasing elevation and that "overcast" can also mean "light rain".
Well. Nothing serious happened but I learned to prepare better next time.

Heute geht erst mal ein Danke an meinen Kollegen Toni raus. ;-) Der meinte nämlich, wir müssten unbedingt zum #Achensee, wenn wir "in der Ecke" sind. War eine wunderschöne Tour, bei absolutem Kaiserwetter. Von #Maurach über die #Dalfazalm, zur Bergstation der #Rofan|seilbahn und dann die #BuchauerAlm zurück nach Maurach.
