@lukupiiri Luin Luupäät järjestyksessä. Alku oli hämmentävä, mutta pääsin nopeasti kiinni tyyliin ja tarinaan. Kuvakerronta on taitavaa ja eloisaa, ja hahmot yllättävän syviä siihen nähden, mistä lähdettiin.
Orvokki-esiosalle taas en lämmennyt heti päätarinan jälkeen. Piirtäjä oli eri ja kepeä sarjakuvailmaisu puuttui. Jos siis olet lukenut vain sen, kannattaa kokeilla Jeff Smithin piirroksia vielä erikseen.

Nyt on luettu kaikki Luupäät: päätarinan yhdeksän osaa sekä esiosa Orvokki. Tartuin näihin myöhässä @lukupiiri n innoittamana.
Mielikuvani Luupäistä oli pitkään ihan pielessä, koska luulin sitä nimen ja päähahmon ulkonäön takia Helmiä sioille -tyyliseksi strippisarjakuvaksi...
Mutta se olikin jatkuvajuonista korkeafantasiaa, jossa hassut hahmot päätyvätkin ihmisten asuttamaan taikalaaksoon.

One way I taught myself how to digitally color was by taking my scans of #Bone panels and coloring them.
It was really easy to learn to color line art because the line art was so dang smooth.

In Defense of The Genre is the third studio album by American #rock band #SayAnything. The album artwork was provided by #JeffSmith, an artist primarily known for his work on the #Bone comic series.

As someone who was completely enamored with Bone and Watchmen in the early 90s (and they remain two of the coolest things I've ever read), this was a very good watch. It's a bit over 30-minutes long, so it's not a quick watch, but was well worth my time.
