Reading about the death of #JamesChance I went looking for what I recalled as a good article in #ZG magazine focussing on his lyrics, sometimes around 1981.
After rummaging through piles of ZG and other magazines of the time (Emergency etc), I found my copy, with the article / interview by Alan Joyce.
What a lot of magazine articles of that pre-net time remain inaccessible. -

They laid down an angular blend odd of skittish post punk rock jazz influenced by James Brown , Miles & Coltrane. I got some decent audio / video of his 2017 West Coast farewell tour show at the Knockout in SF

James White & Sax Pistols", wahrscheinlich gerade wegen der Beteiligung von James White. Der Preis und vielleicht ein Bier zuviel haben mich an dem Abend übersehen lassen, dass es sich dabei nicht um ein Album, sondern um eine Single handelt. Am 18.
