Coincidentally, there's a piece in today's Toronto Star about the current woes of Indigo.

Defence is additionally requesting ALL materials related to the Hate Crimes Unit assuming lead in investigations (criminal and not) related to the "current conflict in the Middle East" to better understand the motivation to classify postering and throwing washable paint at a building as "hate motivated".

Listening to arguments in the #indigo11 case about the discovery process, specifically regarding the conversations between Demkiw and Reisman that led up to the no-knock warrants, kicking in doors (including one WRONG one) at 4:30 in the morning in a matter, as defence just articulated, "caused a billionaire minor inconvenience."

@dbattistella This is an ongoing problem in #Canada as well. A number of charities that support the #IDF in some way, or #WestBank settlements, still manage to keep their charitable status in violation of #CRA rules (though the more flagrant abusers sometimes get shut down).
