Every time the m1-based plex server here goes down, that's a little bit more me. Like sure it has great h.264 transcode, but it's not worth a wooden nickel if the damn thing keeps abandoning its SMB mounts for no farking reason.
You try convincing Crayola OS into anything but 'mother knows best.'

I really wish the person running this meeting would stop pronouncing the word "checkbox" as if it were "chexbox" (or checksbox?).
I'm not even going to speculate about how she pronounces "asterisk". (Actually, I'm pretty sure I know. Just like Goscinny and Uderzo's Gaul. 🙄)
Anyway, it's a small pet peeve, but it's still a peeve. So I'm peevish.

I've been really annoyed at how badly the New York Times syncs crossword puzzles (I solve across an Android phone, iPhone, a laptop, and an iPad), but today was the first time it wiped out a half-solved puzzle by syncing in an almost unsolved version of that day's puzzle that I'd opened *after* on a different device. I even saw the words disappear as I opened it. Bah! (I recognize this is a minor problem in the scheme of things.)

CW: ssb complain
Okay I’m kind of getting sick of #patchwork. It tells me I have updates, I click to view them. Then I see the same 4 or 5 threads I’ve already seen a bunch of times, except maybe I notice that one of them has a new reply.
Has there been any discussion of some way of marking threads as “read for now” (until they get a new reply) or otherwise collapsing/muting threads? Surely I’m not the first person to think of this.
Do the other #ssb clients handle this better?
