Today my #firstworldproblems issue is that I slept funny on one of my ears, and I'm forced to work in the office today.
So it hurts fiercely to wear my noise canceling headphones.
But if I take them off, the colleague two desks down who mumbles and whispers constantly while they read their monitor sets off my misophonia.
It is so petty but I am angry and frustrated nevertheless.

How come whenever an appliance or utility repair appointment says that the tech will arrive within a two hour window, they always show up in the final minutes of that window? Also, if you invest heavily in home automation, you quickly find out how bad a multiple day Internet service disruption can be. While most of my smart devices came back online after service was restored, I had to unplug and replug every one of my smart outlets.
But I can watch the #mnwild game now.

Mein kleiner Teich ist von der Sonne der letzten Woche ganz schön leergesogen worden.
Als es gestern an zu regnen fing, hab ich gesehen, dass das Wasser, das sich im neu gespannten Sonnensegel sammelt, daneben läuft, nicht rein. Und nahm mir vor "wenn es das nächste Mal regnet, nehme ich's ab, damit er sich wieder auffüllen kann".Jetzt müsste man sich nur noch aurfraffen können, das Bett zu verlassen und im Dunkeln durch den Regen zu laufen... 🙈😀

Ich kann auch nicht genau sagen, was es ist; schließlich gäbe es ja ein paar andere Länder, die auch ganz hübsch sind. Aber diese Sehnsucht verspüre ich tatsächlich nur dorthin. -
We ordered some new sofas from John Lewis last month. A few days ago they told us they were ready and will be delivered today. Had a text last night saying they would be delivered between 0846 and 1046 this morning.
And now we've had a phone call saying they won't be. We are assured they have been manufactured, but they don't seem to know where they are. Not even if they were in the UK or waiting to be shipped from China.
I wonder if John Lewis use #AI in their logistics?

It's a modest inconvenience that sorting #OneNote pages disables the ability to make subpages. The subpages were added at different times so without the sort they appear scattered across the page list - I have to find them and move them to make them subpages. #FirstWorldProblems

What led up to this, in itself, horrific statement can best be described as a sort of petty, medieval inquisition. Questions raining down in an utterly relentless tone. My defence had already been dismissed before the trial had even begun. 😅
And it soon became clear that I – objectively speaking – possess absolutely no reasonable grounds for refusing to buy him a Moncler jacket.
“What kind of loving parent even does that?” Especially when, according to him, I “can afford it”.
(Not entirely untrue, granted. But that is partly because I do not make a habit of buying jackets in that price range. I have, however, now been informed that this does NOT qualify as a valid argument.)
So, in his defence, it’s perhaps not surprising that he felt provoked. 🫣
Particularly as he is now – by his own account – condemned to freeze all winter. Wandering around Ekerö like a Victorian street urchin, selling matches. Possibly also sitting outside ICA begging. Reports vary.
It is, of course, a dreadful and deeply unjust situation. His distress is entirely understandable.
And yet.
To claim that I drive a Skoda… that does feel as though he crossed a line. We do, after all, live in a civilised (well, more or less) society. One cannot simply say anything one likes.
