  1. I'm wondering if one tactic of #ReformUK and their supporters is simply to try and disrupt local #government and services as much as possible (or at least let them stagnate), whilst putting the blame on the #Labour central government in the hope of a win in the #GeneralElection ?

This would mean that having these sketchy candidates isn't a major loss (as they can always find someone else to replace them, and it doesn't matter if they are useless)

  2. theguardian.com/politics/2026/. He can't! If #Starmer stays on as #Labour #leader, the #LabourParty will be dead & buried at the next #GeneralElection, & given his probable replacements, it's likely to be dead & buried anyway. They've destroyed themselves with their own right-wing #policies & #political #strategy. If only more working-class people understood that voting for #ReformUK wasn't the answer to their frustrations!

  3. It's Thursday afternoon in #Phoenix, and in 89 days, #Arizona voters get a chance to choose which politicians show up in the #GeneralElection. Let's do better than the 2024 #PrimaryElection, when almost 70% of registered voters decided to let party hardliners make the choice for them.

In 23 days, voters in #Louisiana will have their Primary Election on May 16 2026. I hope they also do better than 2024, when 83% of Cajuns let party-over-country loyalists decide for them.

  4. Welcome to Tuesday, #Arizona. There are 91 days until the #PrimaryElection. In 2024, 69% of you couldn't be bothered to show up and cast a #vote.

The next Primary Elections happen on May 5th in #Indiana, where 83% of Hoosiers couldn't be bothered to show up and cast a vote, and #Ohio, where 78% of Ohioans decided to let others decide who they'd have a chance to vote for in the #GeneralElection.

We can do better. Spread the word.

  5. disabilitynewsservice.com/call. "Disabled people & their organisations can push back against the rise of the far-right by joining a mass demonstration in London later this month - or by taking part in the #protest #online - say #disability #rights #activists." A #ReformUK #Government after the next #GeneralElection would be an absolute catastrophe for all #disabled people in this country, as well as for all other minorities - other than the #rich!

  6. In Sabah politics, the conflict is fundamental: 🩵 local parties fight for MA63 rights and state autonomy against 💜 federalist coalitions whose priorities often align with Peninsular interests rather than Sabahan sovereignty.
