  1. Oops! I did it again (I Voted).

This time the drop box was well-staffed and I got my sticker.

Sometimes the drop boxes are unstaffed and unmonitored.

  2. Who’s funding #BrentTaylor, #Republican candidate for #Tennessee district 9? Some of the worst big business interests.

    #1 donor: #SpaceX / #xAI / #ElonMusk

    #2 donor: CEO of #CoreCivic (#PrivatePrisons operator)

Who do you think Brent will represent if he’s elected? Not the regular citizens of #Memphis!

Vote for Justin J. Pearson! #EarlyVoting ends Saturday August 1st. #ElectionDay is Thursday August 6th (yes Thursday and not Tuesday!)

  3. Tomorrow, July 27 2026, early voting begins in the Icelandic referendum on continuing membership talks with the EU.

IMO: Welcome, and please do join us in the Union! But it has to be something the Icelandic people want.

  4. Oh it just dawned on me. Because SOMEONE works in Kansas and pays their income tax, we get a credit on our Missouri income tax. By eliminating MO income tax not only would the rich dramatically benefit, but we’d be extra screwed. F that noise.

  5. Doing our Missouri no-contest early voting today.

Lots of important stuff on the ballot besides primaries.

Renewing the tiny tax for MO DNR (water, soil, parks) no to abolishing state income tax and jacking up sales tax (it’s a trap!) no to making it almost impossible to pass a state constitutional amendment.

  6. RE: mastodon.social/@indivisiblete

If you can't donate, you may be able to serve as an #election worker.

Your local #elections department probably has information on their website on how to become an election worker.

Where I live, #HarrisCounty #Texas, you need to be registered to #vote in Harris County to work at the polls during #EarlyVoting or on #Election Day.

That said, the elections department is currently hiring supply clerks. They don't need to be registered voters in Harris County, but they do need to be high school graduates or have a GED, and pass drug screening and background checks. Also need to be able to lift 35-50 lbs.

Edited to add: The #Houston metro area is huge, and when I'm recruiting election clerks, many folks who would be interested don't live in (and thus aren't registered to vote in) Harris County. They are in Montgomery, Brazoria, Waller, etc.

The pictures below show the results of the supply clerks' work.

The first picture is the chain-of-custody materials I signed for as an election judge in the March primary. The two machines on the bottom have numbered seals that are logged. These machines scan the paper ballots. Judges from both parties sign attestations when the seals are removed on election day, and also log the seal numbers when they are re-sealed before being returned after the polls close. The black box contains the electronic tablets and wifi equipment that clerks use to qualify voters, along with stands.

The second picture is one of two equipment caddies at my location. These were delivered prior to the election and contain all the rest of the stuff that isn't part of the chain-of-custody. They are also sealed and logged. Early voting locations also get a cabinet because they need vastly more ballot paper, forms, etc.

  7. ATTENTION FELLOW CALIFORNIA REGISTERED VOTERS, WATCH THIS: In the California governor candidates’ debate on Wednesday night (May 6) every candidate (Antonio Villaraigosa, Katie Porter, Chad Bianco, Steve Hilton, Xavier Becerra, Matt Mahan) said they were AGAINST the billionaire tax — EXCEPT billionaire Tom Steyer.

Deadline for California voters to register to vote in the June 2, 2026 primary is MAY 18.

  9. #TFG #EarlyVoting

I knew he said this, but most searches only on the recent statements he has made.

:"In April 2024, Trump posted on Truth Social:

“ABSENTEE VOTING, EARLY VOTING, AND ELECTION DAY VOTING ARE ALL GOOD OPTIONS. REPUBLICANS MUST MAKE A PLAN, REGISTER, AND VOTE!”

This was widely covered because it contradicted years of him attacking mail‑in voting."

  11. More from Jasmine Crockett from her appearance this evening in Richardson, Texas. She can win this. And she will. If you say you want a fighter Texas, VOTE FOR HER.

And no, you can’t have both of them. Only one can win in this primary. Choose one, Texas. MAKE IT CROCKETT. Early voting is on now.

  12. TEXAS has to be honest with itself and ask itself this question:

DO YOU WANT THE FIGHTER, OR DO YOU WANT THE WHITER?

    Vote Crockett.

  13. I’m in a public library today. (I’m a reserve #electionofficer so I get random assignments each time. I never work the same precinct twice, it seems).

What makes this location unusual is that it is an #earlyvoting location before #electionday. If you vote early, you come in, tell them your name and address, and they figure out what district you’re in. Then they print the right ballot for you right there. Anyone from any precinct in Fairfax County can vote at any early voting site. This means that for the last 3 weeks or so, people have been coming to this #library and #voting early.

But if you #vote ON election day, you may only vote in the precinct where you are assigned. (Where you live) So we will get voters today who come in and say “But my wife/son/neighbour voted here just last Thursday!” And that’s absolutely true. And today we have to look them up and say “we are sorry, but you must vote at XYZ.”

So we turn away a LOT of voters here on election day because they expect to vote here when they don’t live here. I’m told by the regulars that it can be as high as 30% of people who walk up.

  14. Where I was today is also an #EarlyVoting location, so this is your reminder, #NYC, get out there and VOTE!! It really counts 🙌💯✨

  16. I have a fear that Islamaphobia and name recognition is propelling older voters to vote for Andrew Cuomo. I hope this is not the case.
