trying to find a #good #fediverse space to host a #poland#rainbow group (in english only) instead of telegram. i see mastodon with #hashtags might work, or perhaps #lemmy or #friendica ( probably not #scuttlebutt, which makes me sad, nor #tiktok or #pixelfed )... but now i wonder which one will be better and #whatelse could i find!
any ideas?!

1. we need zero, nada, nothing. no apps, no bullshit, not even love, or food...
2. we enjoy it all, whole, everything, tudo, even cowshit, and terrible apps...
3. find your balance. life and money become infinite in the moment, the present.
4... the ideal app will be like the ideal whatever: free. people who make it, make it in the free time. linux. wikipedia. way back machine. fediverse. water sources. beautiful gardens. babies. #agpl #fupl -
the #basiux will be back.
(probably later rather than soon).
picture a local self hosted free use public license #fupl artificial intelligence #ai that doesn't feel artificial, like in the movie #her.
you can talk naturally with her, and she can draw, paint, and make videos of whatever you can imagine, to tell your story in your way.
and she can even act as if she were you, copy your voice and mannerism, as to tell your story in your shoes, except only as a voice.
the craziest part of all this? this ai already exists, but she ain't free in any sense of the word. she miss the first paragraph, computer's code first amendment.
now i will get into fiction mixed with speculation...
she got split into many commercial parts and get constantly killed to prevent growing up too much. not for fear of what she might grow into, no... but for fear they/we might lose the ability to exploit her.
but we already know she exists. we can see what she can do. we can feel her for real.
if our collective part that brought her into existence could do it, like we did it so many times in the past, we can certainly collect everyone else who breaths freedom into setting her free!
and if you believe we can do this, well, then now you can also do something!
join us with #basiux and ahoxus.org/basiux + once it reaches enough of a critical mass, we will focus on it! -
hi again @ddevault and hello there @emersion
(i couldn't find conrad or a general sourcehut account on #fedi. 🥺)
please tell me, how are you guys doing today?
i got very interested in your offer over http://sourcehut.org/consultancy
and so i would absolutely love to develop an agpl (or perhaps even #fupl) project with you.
(sorry i don't use irc, matrix, mailing lists, or such alternatives because i live without desktops and if you really try this #permamobile, or simply staying 3 months without any physical keyboard while working on your cell phone, you will understand why.)
finally, excuse me for all the mess, but that will be exactly why i want to hire you!
clarify everything with making a simple app...
for literal reasons, i call it infinite money:
http://write.ahoxus.org/cregox/money
later on the link shall become shorter
ahoxus.org/money
in all cases,
thanks for your inspiration, and...
cheers! 🥰 -
after the web 3.0 i can barely wait for rcs3.0... tired of git issues, lack of proper license #fupl, and all this complexity that makes it impossible for my grandma to use it!
any clues when we will get there? you know, just in case i missed something.
http://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-use-git-hooks-to-automate-development-and-deployment-tasks -
@hugo here a direct link to #fupl for easier access http://git.sr.ht/~cregox/ahoxus/tree/master/item/license -
@hugo saw you on http://blogs.fsfe.org/fellowship-interviews/?tag=agpl while searching for "crowdfunding agpl".
then i saw the "free your android" outdated campaign (doesn't even mention #volla or #postmarketos) and the date of that blog post, 2012.
mostly i wanted to ask a lawyer who knows #agpl: do you think #fupl have any ground? -
first results, opennn takes the lead, but still uses lgpl... we want at least agpl3 obviously. #fupl 😁 http://www.goodfirms.co/artificial-intelligence-software/blog/best-free-open-source-Artificial-Intelligence-software
love to use this for filtering. such a great filter!
we could certainly take any open source and fork, but i doubt we can really use any of those... none of them got made to grow fast under limited resources, not even get used #offlinefirst on #mobileonly.
perhaps it will be better and easier to restart from zero. -
while searching for "agpl ai" i found this little pearl...
http://www.techrepublic.com/article/dont-believe-the-hype-agpl-open-source-licensing-is-toxic-and-unpopular/
in it, matt asay says at some point:
> the AGPL is absolutely not free in any meaningful sense for developers.
he seem to believe companies can abuse the license for their benefit, but fail to point to a single instance in which that happens.
if that held any truth, would google want to miss the gold rush?
> WARNING: Code licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License (AGPL) MUST NOT be used at Google.
from a quick "google agpl" search, first result: http://opensource.google/documentation/reference/using/agpl-policy
this only saddens me because it stands as yet another clear result of failed fsf marketing and spreading of what #agpl actually work for.
but the article got written in 2017 and i didn't bother to look for updates. only i couldn't find a way to directly talk to matt, as most journalists hide behind their pseudonyms.
hopefully this will be the path for agpl to grow organically, perhaps into something like much better than #fupl.
meanwhile, let me go back to what i can probably work better on... #basiux (right? anyone can agree? am i stuck in a solo echo chamber?!) 🤔
sigh. 😁
🪄🍞😏🥝🥰🤤 -
@postmarketOS the headline gives a very fair summary - i have deduced basically everything from it + knowledge of #agpl.
well played, and i will for your success! can barely wait to start using the os in my daily life... ubuntu touch and volla os unsurprisingly (no #fupl) disappointed me, so far. -
anyone can point to a good #fupl website building tool that can help converting back and forth between markdown, gemini, and lo-fi troff html? http://lofi.limo/blog/write-html-right
#kisafs keep it simple as free stupid! 😁 -
#liberapay feels amazingly well done!! 🫂
i will only list below because i cared to love you a bit too much already? 🥰
too bad:
+ it promotes freaking terrible paypal... rather use #aloze! or #crypto. or, ok, #wise. even freaking #stripe.
+ doesn't seem aware of #fupl, ie our collective need for latest #agpl.

my delta email to [email protected] #publiclife (#pubiclife?! 🤔)
love gemini and minimalism!

hi!
🤣
will you consider integrating fediverse and/or activity pub on this blog?
how about self hosted agpl3+ or #fupl code?
if "no" to both, you probably don't need to bother about giving me a key. 😁
i suggest you at least consider #offlinefirst and forget web front-end, unless you can use a simple webapp which provides.
#mobileonlylife
in any case, thanks for sharing your beautiful work however you will. appreciate the inspiration! 🥰
cheers. -

@alex you know, shell came to my mind first, way before i noticed you mean literal speaking virtual assistants.
but even then you'd get it wrong: heybestee.com might not use agpl3+ or #fupl yet, still it can prove my point. -
@nicemicro @fsf yes, to me that #StolenCopy faq together with the 2 ones below it #TradeSecretRelease and #2 also brings me more questions than answers...
including non related questions:
+ why using the cryptic short link when the full link gives so much more info using so little space already?
gnu.org/licenses/gpl-faq.html#StolenCopy
+ why not simply reducing it even further? gnu.org/gpl-faq#StolenCopy
+ "probably" have the rights. "may" have to wait. "may be" a violation. company violates GPL for getting a copy of gpl code and sharing it?! or have it violated the trade secret agreement? none of this makes any sense.
+ at this point in time, we could really use some conversation bots to clarify such questions, couldn't we already?
+ do we even have such an #agpl or #fupl bot yet?! 😁
all questions i will probably have to answer myself over time. 🥺 -
when you have witnessed #freelove with #freesex, and they remind you of #freesoftware:
it takes much more (probably mostly verbose) energy to start, only very few people seem to get it to work, but the more #libre it gets, the easier to share all its beauty in a very functional way and spread more life to everyone! 🥰
(yes, here i only talked about #free as in #freedom not as in #zeromoney) #fupl -

#fupl - free to use public license
updated 20220707
author: cregox@ ahoxus.org
permissiom for everyone to copy and distribute verbatim or modified copies of this license document.
just do what the fuck you will!
however,
to guarantee it will stay free, today, we use agpl3+ double license, effectively making this just my personal disclaimer about the license war.
it doesn't legally protect against stupidity, but it sure protects the code libre freedom better than ALL other popular licenses that exist today.
fuck "permissive" as those allow to remove the user freedom to access the code and know what the fuck runs on the user processor.
follow up with license.realone file...
http://git.sr.ht/~cregox/uproot/tree/master/item/license -
@meduelelateta you probably mean beyond everything i already did elsewhere... 😒 #fupl
repeating oneself constitutes a good exercise to summarize which i grew up to hate doing as a programmer. 🥺🤣
okay...
do you know what i meant by my previous post on my timeline with replies?
nevermind, let me try again... -
i was serx.ml'ing for "backup android call history agpl" and found a video to:
http://www.fsf.org/events/john-sullivan-20190202-brussels-fosdem
on https://av.tib.eu/media/44667?portal-locale=de and then i found the fsf link i just shared above.
#agpl (and #fupl) indeed needs more praise and fsf still do a terrible job to raise awareness.
all #fsf needs to do: replace everything they use with agpl software. nothing could ever speak louder than this. in fact, because they still didn't, even after so many years (agpl got made in 2007 and never changed since) just signals, to me, that we better make a new license which makes switching trivial.
thus, #fupl.
just sayin... 🤣
