Homeassistant letsencrypt expired this morning and I wondered why things were not working...
Well I am using DNS verification and rfc2136. Syntax for tsig algorithm changed in March so renewal silently failed :(

Auf der #ÖBB-Ticketseite kann ich kein ganzes Liegewagenabteil buchen, weil der Knopf kaputt ist, mit dem ich sagen kann, dass ein Kleinkind eine Reservierung kriegt.
Auf der #Nightjet​seite kann ich nicht mit Interrail buchen, weil die Funktion kaputt ist.
Auf der #DB-Seite gibt es die Optionen sowieso gar nicht erst.
Und dann für ICEs: Kleinkindabteil buchen, wenn man gleichzeitig einen Behindertenausweis mit Begleitperson hat? Vergiss es. Es wird so getan, als wäre es ausgebucht.

Somewhat related, and I promise this isn't going to become a political account, but how exactly does it make sense that crotchety old dudes who basically grew up seeing women as self-cleaning sex toys and baby dispensers now get to decide if women get to have children and even what constitutes a true, real woman(tm) to begin with? like ...I'm a white dude but there's no reality in which this makes even remote sense to me. I tried today to do the Duolingo English test, just because its cheap, their rules are the least draconian I found and the institution I'm looking at accepts it.
They were pretty good about accommodations, however unfortunately one type of question, that happens pretty frequently, completely freezes their janky little browser completely when NVDA is running for some inexplicable reason. SO I guess that's the end of that that for now :) #everythingIsBroken

So I installed the PDFW upgrade now (using a Windows installation), but that did not directly help: the USB-C cable was still not detected after reconnecting it.

BUT now I turned the cable around, and that works! Quite sure I tried that with other cables before, without success. So maybe the PDFW upgrade _did_ fix something; or the other cables I tried are all broken or non-standard. Still weird that the cable works in either direction if I reset the laptop.

So my understanding is that when #Docker creates a new network bridge, it will use IPs first from the 172.17.0.0/12 range and then from the 192.168.0.0/16 range, using blocks of size /20 (4096 IPs).
Which means that at first everything will work fine, and then after a while it will start using a block from the 192.168. range (which in my case is used for the LAN), and then the network gets broken. Did I understand that correctly?

I am also THIS close to calling Apple about the Mac dropping all my Bluetooth stuff regularly, making waking the Mac with TouchID fail. I've had to enter my password most of the time. And sometimes the keyboard, mouse, and trackpad all drop out while I'm USING the Mac, so its not a Mac sleep issue.

Today’s #everythingIsBroken news: an #APC #UPS that has been providing backup power for my PVR failed with an F04 error code, which APC support says... if it’s not under warranty the unit should be discarded. #verydisappointed But this is the last (number 8 in twenty-some years) of my APC units and I think it’s time to find a new vendor.
