#UPS trifft mich zu Hause nicht an und packt die Sendung in eine MEINFACH-Packstation am Arsch der Welt, die mit ÖPNV kaum zu erreichen ist. Leider schicken sie mir keinen Abholcode dazu. Nur die Aufforderung den Perso mitzubringen. Der komplett nutzlos ist. Also erstmal Warteschleife. 🙄

I remember someone here asked me if Waveshare UPS HAT (E) is any good - i believe they are and I have two.

We expect a rough winter here in Ukraine in terms of electricity, so I vibecoded a fork of the official Waveshare code for this UPS that not only shows a tray icon and allows for a safe shutdown, but also sends free #alertzy notifications to your phone whenever power is lost and restored.

We've had the power go off multiple times over here due to storms. Only a few seconds.

My network worked though it without any problem. It is on the UPS.

My TV is not on the UPS. Unfortunately, the power fluctuations interrupted the delivery of music to my ears. The home theater was fine because it is on the UPS.

I might add the TV to the UPS. I don't think it gobbles that much energy.

This pic dates from the heavy rack remodeling, everything had to go out before it could fit altogether, nightly (finally)

Both the UPS and PDU are network enabled, so I’m looking to completing them Grafana dashboards with Nut data, electricity cost and more

And on top, soon, the rack will be fully mobile (at least from the leaving room to the kitchen)

Need some advice from folks about #APC #UPS. I got a old #BX700U. When connecting power nothing happens, no LED no beeps. When pushing the front button regardlessly if long or short also nothing happens.
I've opened it and I'm measurung 0.52 V at the battery pins.
Before ordering a replacement battery what else can I check to validate the device itself is still ok and it's just a degraded battery pack inside? Any hints welcome. #fedihelp #followerpower

"According to Carew, last year the Teamsters, the union that represents UPS employees, began “aggressively” enforcing contract protections."

If you are in a union, check and see if you have language in your contract and then enforce it.

I have been on almost EVERY negotiation team for our union 10+ at this point and you could have the greatest PRO worker contract the world has ever seen but it is all for not if members are NOT willing to hold the employer accountable for violating it
