Recognizing the Cycle of Abuse Is the First Step to Breaking Free.

Abuse does not look the same every day. It moves in a cycle: tension building, explosion, and false calm. That cycle is by design. Understanding it is one of the most powerful tools a survivor can have.

The Cycle of Abuse is not a sign that things are fine between the hard moments. It is how control is maintained. The honeymoon phase keeps hope alive. Denial keeps the cycle turning.
