IMO, working at the White House is like a real life "Weekend at Bernie's." Trump is basically dead from the neck up. Everyone in the building knows that he's dead from the neck up. But to keep the MAGA party going, you gotta trot him out occasionally surrounded by puppeteers who prepare simple scripts and steer him in the right direction when he appears lost. Lots of makeup to cover the decaying flesh and surreptitiously placed air fresheners to reduce gagging sounds when the mic is turned on. It's an impressive operation, but I'm not sure it can be maintained until 2032.

We barely made it to the Met on time today, thanks to unexpected parades and street fairs making crosstown travel difficult, but it was totally worth the trouble to get there for Dead Man Walking. Joyce DiDonato and Ryan McKinny are amazing in these roles.

It's Thursday, so we thought we'd share an episode from Season 1 that we enjoyed and were truly greatful for. (S1 Ep 13 - "Sister of Mercy"). We spoke to Sister Helen Prejean, a nun who does great work by visiting men on death row and advocating against the death penalty. She's an author who has written numerous books. In fact, the movie Dead Man Walking is based on her!
