Is @fread an alternative/as good as @openvibe?
I don't have any experience with either but though the first one is #OpenSource on GitHub I feel not confident enough to try this "unknown" app from an unknown developer.
What's your thoughts?
Is my lack in trust not needed due to the app being on #fdroid?I'm interested in the #RSS feature at first.

Can anyone recommend any tools for #crossposting between platforms (particularly #instagram
My academic association is moving off of #X. Apparently the younger kids are all on Instagram. They're the ones doing most of the posting, so that's likely where we'll end up.
However, I would like us to engage with the fediverse too. To that end, it would be great if there was a way to post content to both at once. The fedi side of it wouldn't be *only* a clone/bot account, as I'd be personally responding from that account (i.e., as a representative of the association).
Is there anything available to make this easier than manually copying posts from one place to the other?

Auf vielen Lemmy Instanzen ist Crossposting nicht wirklich gerne gesehen, jedoch beißt sich das mit dem 'Social Media' Teil des Fediverse. Ich erwähne z. B. in einen Beitrag die beiden Lemmy Communitys Deutschland (Feddit) und Aktivismus (Feddit) da der Beitrag beide betrifft. Nun wäre das aber da die Communitys auf dem gleichen Server sind, ein klassisches Crossposting das ja nicht gewollt ist. Ich fand dieses #crossposting schon immer nervig, aber ausgerechnet auf #Mastodon für einen Kanal bei dieser #Datenkrake zu werben ist wie im Supermarkt ein Schild mit dem Satz "Wir haben auch Doritos-Chips" ins Gemüseregal zu stellen.

My blog host has a pretty decent cross posting function, when it works. Sometimes, and it’s frequent enough to be a noticeable thing, it just doesn’t work. This is why I prefer to use Echofeed.app by @robb instead. Simple, consistent, reliable.
