The Year of the Linux Desktop continues: My current linux desktop solution for combined Bluesky/Mastodon feeds: Openvibe running inside a Waydroid session. Wish someone would port Openvibe to Linux or give us an equivalent.

so, i've decided to stop bridging with bridgy, but keep crossposting with openvibe. also, considering switching to microblog, so i can have my own domain there as well. we'll see.

I started using Flare on my phone via https://flareapp.moe/ & it looks better than Openvibe. You can add multiple accounts & it supports Sharkey & Misskey natively. No Nostr though, which Openvibe has. Wish there was one app with it all. Twitter’s dead to me now.

#Openvibe just leveled up again by officially adding #Tumblr support to the network! 🐙 It’s honestly the best #socialmedia app right now. Being able to juggle #Bluesky, #Mastodon, RSS, cross-posting to Threads, and now Tumblr in one place is absolutely dope. The #openweb is looking good!

Seems translation does not work anymore in @openvibe .
Google translator opens but without the text.

I'm using an app called #OpenVibe, so I can post here and to BlueSky at the same time when I want to. This isn't one of those times, so I can toggle it off.

It's neat to only use one app, especially for browsing posts on both platforms. But sometimes my own posts' hashtags get orphaned from the # symbol.

And neither OpenVibe nor BlueSky have post editing.

Does anyone else use one app for both?

@goaconstrictor @tuxhedoh I second this! Between Openvibe and Tusky I'm feeling out the alternatives.

My biggest issue with the Openvibe is that it tells me there's a notification from Mastodon but doesn't tell me what the notification details are.

Is there a way to disable @openvibe's own clickbaity push notifications on android? The options only allow me to de-select message types from my accounts, but nothing that shuts TF #openvibe itself up. #annoying
