As an aside, for all my worldbuilding on the topic and all the mentions and flybys characters in my stories have visited Venus *once*, in "The Hunt for Count Gleichen's Treasure". Maybe with regard to my stories I should circle back to that setting sometime... 🤔

Interior Antarctica is *very* well-suited for the cloud city concept, in as much as it's not really more technically challenging than surface construction there, and room-temperature air is tremendously warmer than the cold ambient air, maximizing lift.

Thinking about colonizing Antarctica, it occurs to me: why bother with igloos, caves, skis, sleds, or buildings on stilts when you could just float above it all, landing wherever whenever? Nuclear cruise zeppelins might be the ideal homesteads.
