  1. No sun for us. The Carson Valley has had an inversion layer sitting over us all day. The moisture from the snow is rising, but trapped by the inversion layer; we end up with clouds. Normally this view would be of the mountains (looking at Tahoe), but instead the dark blue is probably the inversion layer lifting, revealing the shadow of the mountain and the cloud layer to the left is illuminated by the setting sun.
