  1. The #blacksandbeach es of #iceland hide lots of treasures and skipping stones. They're never too far and in the colder seasons you might even see a seal. 😁

Und dabei merke ich, dass meine erste #Island Reise knapp 10 Jahre her ist 😱

Damals endete der Strand noch deutlich hinter den Basaltsäulen.

  9. Our shoutout for the top social post of the day on Reykjavik Hallgrímskirkja goes to @sevendayweekender on Instagram. From @sevendayweekender: Reynisfjara is renowned for its black sand and striking basalt columns. While capturing its beauty, beware of 'sneaker waves' that can surprise you. #Reynisfjara #BlackSandBeach #IcelandNature #wndrfar

  10. #Iceland dump #3. Onto the #SouthShore
tour, taking in the #Eyjafjöll glacier, still showing signs of the dust from the #Eyjafjallajökull volcanic eruption in 2010. It had its own micro-climate right by the glacier. Rain by it but sunshine and warm just over a km away. Onto the #BlackSandBeach at #Reynisfjara, a stunning place but I'm chuffed with my shot of the horses and riders, kind of dystopian! #Skógafoss waterfall, which has a 500+ steps climb to the top of it, well worth it but knackering!
